Oral and/or Poster Presentation

When registering for the conference, you will need to fill out a form with the option of applying for a short presentation.

If you have ticked "yes" for applying for giving a short presentation and or present a poster at the conference, see below for more detailed information about requirements and evaluation criteria. The deadline for submitting your presentation abstract and or poster draft is 10/7-2020. Send it to: presentation@inascon.org

Since there is a limited number of slots for posters and oral presentations, the Science Committee of INASCON 2020 will select which participants to offer the slots. Below follow information and the evaluation criteria that will be used in order to select posters and oral presentations. 

 

Poster presentation

To get a slot at the poster session 11/8-2020 we would like to assess a draft and abstract of your poster. Please feel welcome to send in your poster no matter the current state, don’t be scared!

We will select posters to be exhibited based on the following criteria: 

  • Layout 

  • Content

  • Relevance of information

  • Scientific merit of results 

  • Fit with the topics of the conference:
    - Nanomaterials and their Characterization
    - Nano in Life Science
    - Nano for the Sustainable Future
    - Cutting Edge Nanoelectronics

  • Your personal experience with the work presented

  • Originality

Guidelines for creating your poster

  • See everything (read all text) when zoomed so much that you can see the full width of the poster

  • Clear structure (Introduction and results clearly distinguishable)

  • Clear images that should be self explanatory

  • Clear what text goes with what image

 

Please take into consideration that the poster will be viewed digitally. Please note that a decent microphone and camera is essential to be able to interact with other participants. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions! Send your poster draft (in a pdf-format) and abstract to presentation@inascon.org latest 10/7-2020. We will contact you before the conference to let you know whether your poster got accepted or not. 

Guidelines for creating your abstract

  • Maximum 350 words

  • Font size should be 11

  • Maximum 1 scientific image

  • Include the title of your work

  • Include name of university

  • Include name and photo of presenting authour(s)

  • Include originating country

  • The abstract needs to fit on one A4 page

 

Oral presentation

To get a slot for an oral presentation during the conference days, we would like to assess your presentation from a presentation abstract. Note that also a poster at the poster session is encouraged to be accepted  in order to be able to answer questions and discuss your work with other participants. The poster and the oral presentation do not necessarily need to have the exact same topic/title but they should be related and resonate with each other.

 

We will select oral presentations based on the following criteria: 

  • Fit with the topics of the conference:
    - Nanomaterials and their Characterization
    - Nano in Life Science
    - Nano for the Sustainable Future
    - Cutting Edge Nanoelectronics

  • Your personal experience with the work presented

  • Content

  • Relevance of information

  • Scientific merit of results 

  • Originality
     

Please keep personal information in the talk to a minimum to give room for content, there will be an announcer to present you during the conference. PRESENTATIONS MAY NOT BE LONGER THAN 10 MINUTES. If a presentation runs long it will be cut short. Please note that a good microphone and camera is essential to be able to broadcast your presentation! Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions! Send your presentation abstract to presentation@inascon.org latest 10/7-2020. We will contact you before the end of July to let you know whether your oral presentation got accepted or not.
